President’s Message

Welcome to the San Diego chapter of the North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association. If you’re interested in training your versatile dog to become an outstanding hunting partner, you’ve come to the right place.

We have just begun our 2008 training season with obedience and advanced work.  Please take a look at our calendar newsletter for details as to date, time and location. We will begin field and water training for the upcoming AKC and NAVHDA tests and hunting season. This year again, we have a lot of returning members working to reach the next level of performance; as well as a lot of new folks at various levels of experience wanting to get more from their new dog.

If you want to learn how to train your dog to be the hunting companion you’ve always dreamed of, please join us. We have everyone from professional trainers to people with their first hunting dog, but we all have one thing in common – we want to train both ourselves and our dogs to have the best time in the field possible when the fall hunting season opens once again.

Gabriel Awbrey, President, San Diego NAVHDA
